with helping females and males easily achieve their ideal weight who are over 35 years of age.

How does breathwork support you achieving your ideal weight?

Stress affects everything.

Stress is the root of of most imbalances in the body.

Our hormones are responsible for essentially every function in our bodies.

Hormones are chemicals secreted by our glands in order to send “messages” through the bloodstream.

Those messages then tell our organs what to do to keep us alive and healthy.

Our body has over 50 hormones, and they are constantly fluctuating.

Symptoms of hormonal imbalance

  • Sudden or unexplanable weight gain or weight loss
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Feeling very hot or very cold changes, or extreme sensitivity to heat or cold
  • Excessive sweating
  • Heart rate changes
  • Dry skin or sudden acne
  • Anxiety or other mood changes

With conscious breathing like breathwork ,

we can regulate our heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, hormones

and heal our emotional and mental states.

Breathwork Meditation is different than any other form of meditation.

Many people find Breathwork easier than regular meditation.

Breathwork is an active breathing meditation

and breathwork is unlike what we typically think of meditation as sitting in silence with your thoughts.

With breathwork we awaken the intelligence of the heart and if our mind is not trying to control,

this different state of awareness is a place we can rewrite our subconscious programming.

When the unconscious mind is made conscious then we can let go of old patterns,

beliefs and habits that keep us stuck

for example yo-yo dieting, obesity and disordered eating.

If we learn a habit, we can unlearn it, but only if you become AWARE of the beliefs driving the habit, and then let them go.

When Breathwork is practised consistently for a period of time, true transformation happens.

Note: You do not have to participate in breathwork if you decide to work one to one with Elaine.

Breathwork is just one tool.

Problems Elaine Has over come

Portugal Holiday 2012

Insulin Resistance -

This the name given to when cells of the body don’t respond properly to the hormone insulin.

Insulin resistance is the driving factor that leads to type 2 diabetes and prediabetes

Elaine was diagnosed with gestational diabetes on her second pregnancy in 2013.

The role of the hormone insulin is to allow cells of the body to take in glucose to be used as fuel or stored as body fat.

Symptoms of insulin resistance may include:

  • Energy slumps especially mid morning and 3 p.m.
  • Constant Hunger - especialy post a meal
  • Difficulty concentrating (brain fog)
  • Weight gain around the middle (belly fat)
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol levels
Elaine manages her blood glucose levels through food choices and easily maintains a happy weight, smaller waistline and much more energy.

Leaky Gut -

Leaky gut may be responsible for a huge variety of health issues, ranging from:

  • minor bloating,
  • cramps after eating certain food,
  • fatigue,
  • food sensitivities - cows milk, wheat, gluten, yeast.
  • constipation
  • Loose stool &
  • mild headaches.

Elaine manages these symptoms through food and sought help from nutitional professionals in dealing with these issues,
and helped manage these symptoms considerably.

As well as reducing day to day stress by practicing regular breathwork.

    Adult Acne -

Adult acne, or post-adolescent acne, is acne that occurs after age 25. For the most part, the same factors that cause acne in adolescents are at play in adult acne.

Reasons why I had adult acne in my mid to late 30's:
    • Blood sugars were not stable.
    • Stress of being a mother of two young boys played its part.
    • Food Sensitivities - as per note above.
    • Poor gut health was contributing - see notes above.
    • Sluggish and overburdened liver.
Addressing the above issues like insulin resistance and leaky gut through diet helped Elaine's adult acne significantly as well as breathwork to help relax and de stress easily.
